About
I was born on November 25, 1976 in Stuttgart Bad-Cannstatt, Germany. In 2001 I graduated with a MSc (Diplom-Informatiker FH) in Computer Science / Business Information Technologies from HTWG Konstanz, Constance University of Applied Sciences. With my Diploma thesis I joined Namics AG in St. Gallen, Switzerland where I later started working as a technical Consultant and Project Manager. Until 2008 I was responsible for different implementation projects with key clients in Switzerland and Germany.
In 2008 I was hired as CTO for the Zurich-based startup Amazee AG. We built a Drupal-based Social Collaboration platform, similar to early versions of Facebook combined with Change.org. My responsibilities here included all external and internal IT concerns, managing the development teams as well as the platform implementation. I also served as deputy CEO.
Namics Zurich hired me back in 2009, where I re-joined as technical Senior Consultant. Again I was working for different key accounts in pre-sales, sales, web architecture, and evaluation projects. Until 2021 I worked in different roles as Senior Principal Consultant, Head of Content Technologies, and Senior Solution Architect; mid 2015 again from the Namics St. Gallen office. In November 2014 I co-founded the Serbia-based Namics d.o.o. Belgrade near-shore operations and served as Director for this 100% subsidiary of Namics AG.
Merkle Inc., a dentsu company, acquired Namics AG in October 2018. Until the merge into Merkle Switzerland AG (DACH) with Isobar Switzerland I led the Adobe engineering practice. After the merge I continued leading the Adobe team as Director Adobe Solutions, serving CX needs of our customers along the Adobe Experience Cloud portfolio with a team of approx. 60 FTE in 6 countries.
In 2022 I took over all partner platform engineering responsibilities as Director Platform Technologies.

Communication
During my 20+ years in the industry I have been working in project management, (technical) consulting, account management, product development, and people /team management roles. Throughout my professional career I have always been working in teams, either on client or on agency side. Excellent communication skills on C-level are part of my daily business as a Director, as well as translating business requirements for technical delivery teams. I have led engineering teams of up to 120 employees, across different locations and many different cultures.
Industry Knowhow
I am a former C/C++ and Java programmer, with knowhow in JavaScript, Visual Basic, ASP, and HTML/CSS. I can work with all current OS (but prefer Apple macOS), having used Mac/Windows/Linux computers and office products since the 1990s. I have a strong understanding of web technologies and web architectures. I have knowledge in several enterprise-grade Digital Experience Platforms (DXP) like Adobe, Magnolia, Sitecore, SAP CX, as well as Drupal and WordPress and awareness of custom application architectures and their development. I am an Adobe certified Business Practitioner, Google Enterprise Search Professional, and hybris certified Pre-Sales consultant.
Languages
I am German native and I am fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. Little basics in Spanish.
Other Interests
In my free time I enjoy long distance running (half- and full marathons), nature in general, gardening, traveling (off the beaten path), tropical fish tanks, and any kind of gadgets and wearables. I am a smart home automation geek (nerd?) using Zigbee and Z-Wave networks to make our home smarter and more accessible.
